Privacy Policy

When you sign up and use Karo we collect:

• Account info — your email address (via Clerk, our authentication provider) and, if you log in with Google, your name and profile photo.
• Billing info — managed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We store a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
• Your content — the prompts, photos, brand kits, and carousels you create. Stored in Supabase (US region) so we can show them back to you.
• Usage logs — generation counts, timestamps, and basic technical metadata (IP, user agent) used for security and rate limiting.

• Deliver the product (rendering slides, saving projects, exporting files)
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, important account notices)
• Detect abuse, enforce rate limits, and protect the service
• Improve Karo by analyzing aggregate usage patterns (never your private content)

We do not sell your data. We do not run third-party advertising on Karo.

Karo relies on a small number of vetted providers to operate:

• Clerk — authentication and session management
• Stripe — payments, billing, and refunds
• Supabase — database and file storage
• Anthropic — the AI model that drafts your copy. Your prompts are sent to Anthropic to generate output and are not used to train their models per their API terms.
• Vercel — hosting
• Upstash — rate limiting

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We only share what is needed for them to do their job.

We keep your account and the content you create until you ask us to delete it or close your account. Stripe and accounting records are kept for at least 7 years as required by US tax law.

You can:

• Export your projects at any time from the editor
• Update or correct your email by signing in to your account
• Request deletion of your account and content by emailing rift.clb.media@gmail.com. We process deletion requests within 30 days.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your editor preferences. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

Karo is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.

We will update this policy as Karo changes. The effective date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be emailed to active users.
